Our Mission & Leadership
Rooted Here. Focused on What’s Next.
A local nonprofit rooted in community since 1935, turning generosity into education, opportunity, and lasting impact.
Evansville Goodwill works alongside people, families, employers, partners, and communities across our tristate region to create pathways toward greater stability and opportunity.
Why We Exist
Our Mission. Our Vision.
Our mission defines how we serve today. Our vision keeps us focused on the communities we are working together to build.
Our Mission
The mission of Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is to help people, families, and communities thrive through the power of relationships, education, and work.
Our Vision
Communities where all people and families thrive.
Across our tristate region, too many people face barriers that make stability feel out of reach.
A missed educational opportunity. A job market that feels closed off. Life circumstances that
interrupt plans and confidence.
Evansville Goodwill exists to help remove those barriers and replace them with pathways forward.
Not through quick fixes, but through long-term investment in people and community.
The Cycle of Good
How Good Becomes Opportunity.
Our thrift stores are more than places to donate and shop. They are the engine that powers our mission.
When you donate goods, shop with purpose, or support our work, that generosity stays local. It funds free education programs like The Excel Center® Evansville Southeast, workforce services like The Opportunity Center, and support systems designed around real community needs.
Our Values
The Values That Guide Our Work.
Our values shape how we lead, serve, and partner with our community. To make them easier to follow, they’re organized in the order that spells THRIVE. Select a letter or expand a value to see what it means and how it shows up in our work.
What This Means
We communicate clearly and share relevant data in an understandable way.
How This Shows Up
We are open about how decisions are made, how resources are used, and how impact is measured. From sharing outcomes and financial information to explaining how donations support programs, transparency helps build trust and understanding with our community.
